New REEEP Director General Appointed

Martin Hiller, formerly of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), has been appointed Director General of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP), effective 1 December 2011.

He is also the President of the Board of the Gold Standard Foundation, a certification scheme for carbon offset projects.

8 November 2011: The Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP) has announced the appointment of Martin Hiller as its new Director General, effective 1 December 2011. Hiller will succeed to Marianne Osterkorn, who steps down at the end of her seven-year tenure.

Hiller is the former Head of Communications and Campaigns at the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), where he worked for 21 years. Hiller is also President of the Board of the Gold Standard Foundation, a certification scheme for carbon offset projects. He is a member of the European Association of Communications Directors (EACD) and the UK’s National Union of Journalists (NUJ). He studied biology and ecology at the University of Vienna, Austria.
