The August 2011 issue of Natural Resources Forum takes on the theme of Green Economy and Sustainable Development, with seven articles exploring aspects of the issue and book reviews on climate change and deforestation.

August 2011: The Division for Sustainable Development (DSD) of the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) has released a Special Issue of its Natural Resources Forum, a UN Sustainable Development Journal, focused on Green Economy and Sustainable Development.

Articles in this issue include: Societal transformations for a sustainable economy; Lessons from the history of technological change for clean energy scenarios and policies; Shaping agricultural innovation systems responsive to food insecurity and climate change; Building a regulatory framework for biofuels governance in China: Legislation as the starting point; Sustainable partnerships for a green economy: A case study of public procurement for home-grown school feeding; the sustainability of green funds; and the policy challenges for green economy and sustainable economic development.
