Making It Happen Highlights UN Portals on Sustainable Development

The latest issue of “Rio+20: Making it Happen,” the newsletter of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20), includes a reminder to vote in the Rio Dialogues on solutions in ten critical areas for Rio+20.

The voting is open until 15 June, and will determine which recommendations are presented to world leaders gathering in Rio.

RIO+2011 June 2012: The latest issue of “Rio+20: Making it Happen,” the newsletter of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20), compiles UN portals offering stories and facts on sustainable development. Among others, the website of UN Women features stories on sustainable development, gender equality and women’s empowerment, while the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) highlights 100 facts making the link among people, food and the environment.

The newsletter also includes a reminder to vote in the Rio+20 Dialogues on the solutions generated in ten areas for Rio+20. The voting is open until 15 June, and will determine which recommendations are presented to world leaders gathering in Rio.

Finally, according to this issue, the website of the UNCSD Secretariat now offers comprehensive information about logistics in Rio de Janeiro during the Conference.
