May 2010: The International Water Management Institute (IWMI) has released the second and third volumes from the National Conference on Water, Food Security and Climate Change, which took place in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from 9-11 June 2009.

Volume two addresses “Water Quality, Environment and Climate Change,” and includes 15 papers on topics such as climate change and rainfed agriculture, adaptation of local institutions to climate change, integrated water resource management (IWRM), and wetlands and agriculture. Volume three addresses “Policies, Institutions and Data Needs for Water Management,” and includes ten papers that consider existing water policy in Sri Lanka and potential policy alternatives.
