4 February 2013: The International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO) announced the fifth Proposal Cycle under its Thematic Programme on Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (TFLET). The objective of the call is to seek investments to improve law enforcement and governance in member countries in support of international trade in sustainably managed tropical timber and as a contribution to poverty alleviation.

Although not a requirement, the call makes a priority of: combating illegal logging; associated trade through capacity building to promote trade in legal timber; and, in the long term, trade in timber and wood products from sustainably managed forests.

Proposals are due through the official contact points from member countries by 5 April 2013. [Call for Proposals]
