IRENA Selects First 20 Recipients of its Scholarship Programme

The 20 students are the first winners of an annual scholarship programme for the Masdar Institute's two years masters programmes in renewable energy-related fields.

The winners come from Armenia, Bangladesh, Belarus, Brazil, Cameroon, China, India, Nepal, Spain, Turkey and the UAE.

16 October 2011: The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) has selected 20 students to receive scholarships to study renewable energy issues at the Masdar Institute for Science and Technology, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

These 20 students are the first winners of an annual scholarship programme for the Masdar Institute’s two years masters programmes in renewable energy-related fields. The students will conduct research, participate in an exclusive lecture series and receive support from IRENA to compliment their learning at the Masdar Institute.
