The International Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) Elimination Network (IPEN) has released a guide to encourage NGOs and global civil society organizations to engage in activities to control mercury pollution.

ipen22 April 2014: The International Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) Elimination Network (IPEN) has released a guide to encourage NGOs and global civil society organizations to engage in activities to control mercury pollution.

The booklet, titled ‘An NGO Guide to Mercury Pollution and the Minamata Convention on Mercury,’ contains information on developing mercury awareness raising campaigns. It also summarizes the key elements of the Minimata Convention on Mercury, and encourages NGOs and CSOs to advocate for government adoption, ratification and implementation of the treaty.
