IPBES and Intersessional Process Provides Updates on Preparations for First Session

21 November 2012: The Interim Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) Secretariat has announced that the deadline for receiving registration forms and requests for governments and accreditation for major groups and stakeholders has been extended until 30 November 2012.
It also highlighted that the Catalogue of Assessments, aimed at learning lessons from existing and ongoing assessment processes and to inform the future development of IPBES, can be accessed through the IPBES website. The Interim Secretariat also noted the 30 November 2012 deadline for comments on the critical review of assessments. Finally, it announced that a draft scoping paper on assessments, including the draft conceptual framework and other IPBES deliverables will be made available for review from mid-November 2012 to 28 February 2013.
