The first publication, titled “Migration, Environment and Climate Change: Assessing the Evidence,” underlines the importance for human security of adequate planning for and management of environmentally-induced migration. It aims to enhance the knowledge base on the migration and environment nexus, highlights innovative methodological approaches and emphasizes the policy implications.

The second publication, titled “Compendium of IOM’s Activities in Migration, Climate Change and the Environment,” gathers the initiatives implemented by IOM and partners in 28 countries. The publication also documents humanitarian responses to displacement and the solutions of communities to promote adaptation to overcome the effects of natural disasters and environmental degradation.
