International Center for Tropical Agriculture Releases “Two Degrees Up” Videos
story highlights

The videos describe adaptation strategies carried out by small farmers in Ghana and Colombia.

December 2010: The International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) has developed a series of videos titled “Two Degrees Up,” highlighting the potential impact of two degree warming on agriculture in Colombia and Ghana.

The videos track the difference between farms at different altitudes, which are thus subject to differing climatic regimes, in each country. The videos document adaptive strategies by farmers to move or change their crops and pest control strategies. CIAT is a member of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). [Two Degrees Up Website]
