ILCMay 2014: The International Land Coalition (ILC) has announced a call for submissions for the 2015 ILC Award for outstanding work towards people-centered land governance and secure land rights for men and women living in poverty. All ILC members are welcome to forward submissions to the ILC Secretariat based on their most emblematic success story or stories over the last decade.

The goal of the award is to: recognize the outstanding efforts and successes of a coalition member; provide global visibility and support to expand the member’s work; inspire other organizations working on land-related issues; and reaffirm the coalition as a global actor on land related issues.

The award will consist of: a scroll describing the winning member’s achievements and successes; full support to one person to attend the 2015 Global Land Forum in Dakar, Senegal and other international events; and media coverage and dedicated space on the ILC website.

The deadline for the ILC Secretariat to receive submissions for the award is 20 June 2014. Submissions can be in English, French or Spanish. The award will be presented in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the ILC at the 2015 Global Land Forum in Dakar, Senegal. [ILC News Release]
