IISD, OIF/IFDD Launch Francophone Climate Negotiations Bulletin

The International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), Reporting Services (RS) division, has released the first in a series of seven French language bulletins produced in the lead up to the 21st session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 21) to the UNFCCC, convening in Paris, France, in November-December 2015.

The first bulletin focuses on the theme of adaptation.

IISD RS - OIF - IFDD - Senghor University8 October 2015: The International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), Reporting Services (RS) division, has released the first in a series of seven French language bulletins produced in the lead up to the 21st session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 21) to the UNFCCC, convening in Paris, France, in November-December 2015. The first bulletin focuses on the theme of adaptation.

The bulletin is published by IISD RS and the International Organization of Francophonie (OIF), through its subsidiary body, the Institute for Sustainable Development of the Francophonie (IFDD), in partnership with Médiaterre and Senghor University.

The first issue features an update on the state of play of climate negotiations on adaptation and a timeline of key climate-related event in the lead up to COP 21. It also contains a summary of recent meetings related to the climate negotiations. The last section of the bulletin, titled ‘things to look for,’ highlights key upcoming events and milestones for the next fortnight.
