IISD Launches “ENB Mobile” to Help Participants Navigate Rio+20

It was developed in support of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon's “PaperSmart” initiative, which aims to reduce the carbon footprint of UN conferences through electronic materials.

13 June 2012: The International Institute for Sustainable Development Reporting Services (IISD RS) Division has released ENB Mobile, a handheld application that aims to provide access to the Earth Negotiations Bulletin (ENB) in a format that enhances its value to decision makers. The launch of the app was timed to help participants at the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20).

According to IISD, the app was developed in support of the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s “PaperSmart” initiative, which aims to reduce the carbon footprint of UN conferences by making materials available in electronic format.
