August 2010: The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) has released a dataset of household surveys from the Limpopo Basin in South Africa from 2005.

The survey was part of a project to develop tools to understand, analyze and form policy decisions for climate change adaptation. The dataset includes information from 794 households across four South African provinces. The sampling was designed to collect information on a variety of farming approaches from a diverse geographic area. IFPRI has released a number of publications based on the dataset. The data are available in Excel format. IFPRI is a member of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). [South Africa Limpopo Basin Climate Change Adaptation Dataset]
