5 November 2013: The International Energy Agency (IEA) has created a mobile phone app of its publication ‘IEA Key World Energy Statistics 2013,’ which displays and organizes data for visualization and analysis purposes.

The app contains statistics for over 140 countries in 16 different categories, including energy supply, energy consumption, and CO2 emissions. The app has a “favorites” function that allows users to save relevant data for quick future viewing. The app is currently being offered only for iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, but an Android operating system version is being developed as well. [IEA Press Release] [App download page]
