IDB Supports Sanitation Improvements in Argentina

A new loan by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) aims to expand access to potable water and sanitation in the Norte Grande region of Argentina.

According to IDB, the programme will improve the sustainability of service providers of sanitation and water supplies, and expand water and sanitation services.

IDB13 September 2012: A programme funded by a US$500 million Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) loan will provide better sanitation to over 86000 households and nearly 15000 households to new or improved access to potable water.

According to IDB, the programme will improve the sustainability of service providers of sanitation and water supplies, and expand water and sanitation services through repair and expansion of water collection systems, construct water treatment and distribution systems, and infrastructure for sewage treatment and storm water drainage.
