18 November 2013: The World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Government of Sierra Leone to support strategic research on agroforestry.

The announcement was the outcome of a workshop to develop a five-year program and action plan for promoting agriculture, fisheries and industry in Sierra Leone. The MOU will facilitate research on the role of agroforestry in addressing agricultural problems in Sierra Leone and build capacity for the implementation of agroforestry solutions.
