IAEA IHL, USGS Launch Software for Water Oxygen and Hydrogen Isotopes Analyses
story highlights

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Isotope Hydrology Laboratory (IHL) and the US Geological Survey (USGS) have released a new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) software for water oxygen and hydrogen isotopes analyses of data produced by laser absorption spectrographs (LAS).

13 November 2012: The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Isotope Hydrology Laboratory (IHL) teamed up with the US Geological Survey (USGS) to launch the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) software for water oxygen and hydrogen isotopes analyses of data produced by laser absorption spectrographs (LAS).

IAEA underlines that the study of isotopes in water resources increases understanding of water supplies. The software is open source and will help increase laboratory productivity and decrease laboratory errors. Software features include: a project and sample data management system; LAS instrument sample analysis templates; an automated between-sample memory correction; and a laboratory standard calibration templates.
