At the invitation of the German Presidency of the CBD Conference of the Parties, approximately 50 distinguished individuals met in their personal capacity from 9-10 March 2009, in Bonn, Germany.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the framework of the post-2010 biodiversity target and to prepare the ground for the discussion and action on the future of the global biodiversity agenda.
