7 September 2010: Meeting on 1 September 2010 at a retreat at Chateau de Bossy, Switzerland, the Secretary-General of the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands, the Secretary-General of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), the Executive Secretary of the Convention on Migratory Species (CMS), a representative of the World Heritage Convention and the Executive Secretary of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) agreed that the CBD strategic plan for the period 2011-2020, which is expected to be adopted at the tenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the CBD, to be held in October 2010, in Nagoya, Japan, should serve as a common framework for action over the next ten years.
