May 2009: The Global Environment Facility (GEF) is organizing a photographic contest that seeks to create awareness of different ways to protect the planet.
The photos will be divided into three categories: people and environment, wildlife, and climate change. For the latter category, submissions are expected to portray people, landscapes, animals, vegetation or technology that can communicate the concept of mitigating and/or adapting to a changing climate.
