The 40th meeting of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) Council has approved a number of project concepts for the Latin America and Caribbean region, as part of its decision on its Work Programme.

26 May 2011: The 40th meeting of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) Council has approved a number of project concepts for the Latin America and Caribbean region, as part of its decision on its Work Programme.

The 40th meeting of the GEF Council convened in Washington, DC, US, from 24-26 May 2011. The approved projects in the Latin America and Caribbean region are as follows: the Fifth Operational Phase of the GEF Small Grants Programme in Bolivia, with a GEF Project Grant of US$4,166,667; the Integrated Management of the Yallahs River and Hope River Watersheds in Jamaica, with a GEF Project Grant of US$3,768,667; and the Fifth Operational Phase of the GEF Small Grants Program in Mexico, with a GEF Project Grant of US$4,444,953.
