Francophone Climate Negotiations Bulletin Focuses on Mitigation

The International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), Reporting Services (RS) division, has released the fifth in a series of seven French language bulletins produced in the lead up to the 21st session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 21) to the UNFCCC, convening in Paris, France, in November-December 2015.

The bulletin focuses on the theme of mitigation.

IISD RS - OIF - IFDD - Senghor University16 November 2015: The International Institute for Sustainable Development’s Reporting Services (IISD RS) has released the fifth in a series of seven French language bulletins produced in the lead up to the 21st session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 21) to the UNFCCC, convening in Paris, France, in November-December 2015. The bulletin focuses on the theme of mitigation.

The bulletin is published by the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF), through its subsidiary body, the Institute for Sustainable Development of the Francophonie (IFDD), in partnership with IISD RS, Médiaterre and Senghor University.

This fifth issue features an update on the state of play of climate negotiations on mitigation. It also contains a summary of recent news related to the climate negotiations highlighting, inter alia: the pre-COP hosted by the French Government; the publication of the sixth edition of the Emissions Gap Report by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP); and the meeting in Manila, the Philippines, of the Climate Vulnerable Forum (CVF) .
