FAO15 October 2012: The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has released the Summary Report of the Joint FAO/World Health Organization (WHO) Meeting on Pesticide Residues, which convened from 11-20 September 2012, in Rome, Italy. The meeting evaluated 31 pesticides, of which 7 were new compounds, and 7 were re-evaluated within the periodic review programme of the Codex Committee on Pesticide Residues (CCPR).

The meeting report summarizes discussions between FAO and WHO on acceptable daily intakes, acute reference doses, short-term and long-term dietary intakes, recommended maximum residue limits, and supervised trials medium residue values.
