FAO Invites Participation of Foresters in Climate Change and Forest Survey

As part of the development of guidelines to assist forester managers in responding to climate change challenges and opportunities, the FAO is inviting participation in an online survey.

12 May 2011: The Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) is developing guidelines to assist forester managers in responding to climate change challenges and opportunities.

As part of the development of these guidelines, the FAO is inviting participation in an online survey. The guidelines are to be relevant to both adaptation and mitigation as well as all types of forests, management objective and managers. The guidelines will be developed and tested in 2011 and 2012, and draw on best practice while supplementing existing guideline. Following the development of the guidelines, workshops at regional and sub-regional levels will be carried out to support the use and dissemination of the guidelines.
