FAOJuly 2013: The Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) is calling on international actors to contribute to a global survey, titled ‘Stocktaking Landscape Initiatives,’ which follows from a pilot survey undertaken in February 2013, and aims to identify opportunities for collaboration among member countries and partners.

The survey is in response to global demand for coherent and integrated landscape management activities from the local to regional levels. The initial survey highlights possibilities to improve natural resource management, production, employment and food security through landscape approaches, as well as to draw on lessons learned to enable more effective work in the future. The results of the full survey will be distributed through the FAO land portal. [FAO News] [FAO Summary of Pilot Results] [FAO Stocktaking Survey on Landscape Initiatives]
