The fifth conference of the Forest-Based Sector Technology Platform (FTPC5), “Growing towards the future – joint innovation for successful forest-based business in Europe,” was held in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, from 19-21 May 2008.

Representatives of business, research and European institutions presented to more than 200 participants on how to make innovation in forest-based business work. Participants discussed, inter alia, creating added value to products and services, dealing with increased scarcity of raw materials, and promoting innovation through people management and creation of optimal conditions for fostering creativity.
