3 December 2010: The European Commission has launched a website to help public authorities and stakeholders choose the cleanest and most energy-efficient vehicles available.

The Clean Vehicle Portal provides information on legislation for clean and energy-efficient vehicles at the EU level and in all EU member States, as well as on existing procurement rules and incentive schemes for clean and energy-efficient vehicles in the different member States, offering support to joint public procurement. The Portal provides information on the different technologies and on energy consumption and emissions of the vehicles available on European markets, including passenger cars, light- and heavy-duty vehicles and buses.
