The consultation on the role of EU agriculture and forestry in achieving the EU's climate change commitments is open from 10 September-5 November 2010.
September 2010: The EU has launched a public consultation on the role of EU agriculture and forestry in achieving the EU’s climate change commitments. The consultation is open from 10 September-5 November 2010.
The objective of the consultation is to collect views from citizens, organizations and public authorities on: how land use activities may contribute to climate change mitigation; if land use, land-use change and forestry (LULUCF) should count towards the EU’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction commitment; and, if so, the ways in which this could be done.
