22 August 2011: The UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) has issued a call for Major Group nominations to participate in the Asian and Pacific Regional Preparatory Meeting for the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20).

Major Group nominations should be submitted to ESCAP, at escap-esdd-evs@un.org, by 31 August 2011, with a copy to Chantal Line Carpentier at the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA), at carpentier@un.org, to ensure coordination between the nomination processes of ESCAP and DESA.
