October 2013: The Environmental Management Group (EMG) has announced the appointment of Elliott Harris as Director of the EMG Secretariat. Harris, a national of the Bahamas, is based in the New York office.

Harris joined the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), where he served, among other positions, as the IMF Special Representative to the UN. In this role, he was Vice Chair of the High-Level Committee of Programmes of the UN Chief Executives Board (CEB). [EMG website]
