The third newsletter of the Regional Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) of the Economic Community Of West African States (ECOWAS) contains information on the budget and Work Plan of the Centre, articles on partnerships, workshops, and memorandums of understanding signed by ECREEE.
June 2011: The Regional Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) of the Economic Community Of West African States (ECOWAS) has published its third newsletter, which highlights the review and approval by the second Executive Board meeting of ECREEE of the 2010 Status Report and the 2011 Work Plan of the Centre. The meeting took place on 28 January 2011 in Praia, Cape Verde.
The Newsletter features articles on, among other topics: highlights of the Centre’s 2010 work; the start of the ECOWAS Renewable Energy Facility (EREF) of ECREEE; collaboration between ECREEE and the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO); the ECOWAS Green Headquarters Project; and the strengthening of ECREEE’s collaboration with other institutions through the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs). In addition, the newsletter summarizes a number of workshops and contains an interview with Simon Rolland, Secretary General of Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE).
