EBRD to Fund Construction of Energy Efficient Shopping Mall

27 September 2011: The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has raised US$69.6 million for the construction of an energy efficient shopping mall in the city of Surgut, Russian Federation.

Once completed, the mall will be 25% more energy efficient than required by Russian law, emitting 5,000 tons less carbon annually than a standard building. [EBRD Press Release]
