17 November 2011: The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is investing in power sector restructuring and energy efficiency in Bulgaria.
The EBRD adopted a new three-year strategy that involves supporting reforms in Bulgaria, including the restructuring of the power sector and improvement of energy efficiency. Activities will focus on a transition to a low-carbon economy and improving energy security through investments in renewable energy and new interconnections for delivery of gas and oil. Investments will be directed towards improving the manufacturing, agriculture and technology sectors. [EBRD News]
