May 2009: The Secretariat of the Adaptation Fund (AF) has prepared documents for the sixth meeting of the AF Board, which will take place from 15-17 June 2009, in Bonn, Germany.
At the June meeting, the Board is expected to decide on a number of issues in order to finalize the Provisional Operational Policies and Guidelines for Parties to access resources from the Fund, including on the report on fiduciary standards and the template for the submission of project and programme proposals. The AF Board will also review the invitation letter to eligible parties to submit proposals for funding.
Among other agenda items, Board members will consider the Trustee presentation on the monetization of Certified Emissions Reductions (CERs) and address budgetary matters, the logo of the Fund and the AFB work plan. In addition, the Board will discuss draft Terms of Reference of the Board committees on Ethics and Finance, and on Project and Programme Review established at the previous meeting. [Meeting Website]
