28 June 2012: Connect4Climate (C4C) and MTV are launching “Voices4Climate,” a new global photo, video, and music video competition focused on highlighting the voices of youth on the issue of climate change.

The launch for the competition was held at “Connecting for Climate: Technology, Creativity, and Action” at the Newseum in Washington, DC, US. Young people from around the world were invited to share or sing their personal stories about climate change for the opportunity to win prizes and receive international recognition at the forthcoming UN Climate Change Conference in Doha. Music video winners will spend a day with MTV editors in New York, US, or London, UK, and have their music videos featured on MTV’s “Voices” platform. The new competition builds on C4C’s 2011 Africa regional competition.

Connect4Climate (C4C) is sponsored by the Global Environment Facility (GEF), the World Bank, and the Italian Ministry for the Environment.
