Clean Energy Film Wins ADB’s MyView Asia-Pacific Video Contest

ADB6 June 2012: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has announced that a short film on the merits of using clean energy to cook, has been awarded the Grand Prize in the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) 2012 MyView Asia-Pacific Video Contest.

The film, made by 26-year old Filipino filmmaker Adrian Sibal, is titled “The Rivals” and focused on the theme “Energy for All/Renewable Energy.” As the overall winner, Sibal was awarded US$3,000. According to the ADB, MyView, with prizes totalling $10,000, provides a showcase for amateur filmmakers to creatively promote awareness of important development challenges and potential solutions.
