CITES Secretariat Facilitates Access to CITES Texts in Different Languages

The Secretariat of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) will provide links to translations of adopted texts in any language, to facilitate implementation of the Convention.

10 February 2011: The Secretariat of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) has proposed linking from the CITES website to translations into any language of adopted texts that Parties have produced and are willing to share.

The three working languages of CITES are English, French and Spanish. While translations to other languages will have no official status, the links will be provided to facilitate implementation of the Convention. Parties willing to share their own translations of CITES resolutions, decisions, appendices or text of the Convention are invited to contact the CITES Secretariat. [The Notification]
