CGRFA Invites Input on Upcoming 15th Session’s Themes

The Commission on Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (CGRFA) of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) has invited relevant international organizations to provide focused information on their programmes, activities and policies relevant to the prioritized themes of the Commission's 15th Regular Session, to be held from 19-23 January 2015, in Rome, Italy.

Inputs are requested by 20 September 2014.

CGRFAAugust 2014: The Commission on Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (CGRFA) of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) has invited relevant international organizations to provide focused information on their programmes, activities and policies relevant to the prioritized themes of the Commission’s 15th Regular Session, to be held from 19-23 January 2015, in Rome, Italy.

In an effort to reduce routine reporting, the CGRFA has invited relevant organizations to provide information concerning: the Second Report on the State of the World’s Animal Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture; the follow-up to the Global Plan of Action for the Conservation, Sustainable Use and Development of Forest Genetic Resources; the review of implementation of the updated Global Plan of Action on plant genetic resources; work on micro-organisms and invertebrates; and cross-sectorial matters, including the report on the State of the World’s Biodiversity for Food and Agriculture, access and benefit-sharing for genetic resources for food and agriculture, biotechnology, and climate change.
