CDM Methodologies Panel Recommends Two New CDM Methodologies

At its 57th meeting, the CDM Methodologies Panel addressed issues relating to: proposed new methodologies; revisions and amendments of approved methodologies and tools; clarifications to approved methodologies and tools; and other issues relating to guidelines for specific kinds of methodologies five.

17 August 2012: The Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) Methodologies Panel has concluded its 57th meeting, during which it considered five proposed new methodologies, and agreed to recommend two of the proposals for approval and to continue work on the others.

At the meeting, which was held from 13-17 August 2012, in Bonn, Germany, the Panel also agreed to recommend the draft methodological tool “Upstream leakage emissions associated with fossil fuel use” for approval by the CDM Executive Board. The Panel also considered: revisions and amendments of approved methodologies and tools; clarifications to approved methodologies and tools; and other issues relating to guidelines for specific kinds of methodologies.
