30 March 2009: The Executive Board of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) has launched a call for experts to join its Registration and Issuance Team (RIT). The RIT was established to assist Board members in their consideration of requests for registration of project activities and issuance of certified emission reductions (CERs).

The call is for additional members of the RIT, with a view to preparing a shortlist of experts for consideration by the Board, and selecting additional members, as required. The call is open until 4 May 2009. Experts wishing to be considered can apply online via the links provided on the UNFCCC announcement page. Applicants will be considered by the Board at its 47th meeting, which is scheduled to take place from 27-29 May 2009, in Bonn, Germany. [Call for experts]
