Development Mechanism (CDM) has launched a call for public comments on the
draft document “Elaboration of CDM Accreditation Requirements,” from 29
September 2008 to 27 October 2008.

The draft document, contained in annex 1 of
the 26th Progress Report of the CDM Accreditation Panel, details the
requirements for the accreditation of applicant and designated operational
entities providing CDM services for validation and/or
verification/certification, and the provisions for meeting these requirements.
The document is intended to elaborate the CDM accreditation requirements for
application to the entities and to provide a basis for their assessment by the
CDM Assessment Team for the purpose of CDM accreditation activities. At its
42nd meeting, the Board decided to make the draft available for public comment
and requested the UNFCCC Secretariat to submit a revised draft document, taking
