The Executive Board of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) has concluded its 76th meeting with, among other things, the adoption of a one-year management plan for 2014 that is designed to further improve the CDM and support the effective execution of the Board's vision and its 2014 goals and objectives.
8 November 2013: The Executive Board of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) has concluded its 76th meeting with, among other things, the adoption of a one-year management plan for 2014 that is designed to further improve the CDM and support the effective execution of the Board’s vision and its 2014 goals and objectives.
At the meeting, which was held from 4-8 November 2013 in Warsaw, Poland, the Board adopted the management plan to help it deliver on its two-year business plan, adopted at its 75th meeting in October 2013. In addition, the Board considered standards and tools, and adopted a standardized baseline on “Technology switch in the rice mill sector of Cambodia.” The Board also adopted a new methodology relating to energy-efficient lightning.
The Board also discussed matters relating to the accreditation of independent entities, the CDM programme of activities, and the issuance of Certified Emission Reductions (CERs), and relations with forums and other stakeholders.
