18 February 2009: The Executive Board (EB) of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), at its 45th meeting, held from 11-13 February 2009, agreed to launch a call for public inputs on the various aspects of the draft “Tool to determine the baseline efficiency of thermal or electrical energy generation systems.” The draft describes various procedures to determine the baseline efficiency of an energy generation system, for the purpose of estimating baseline emissions.
In particular, the EB is interested in issues related to its practical applications and user friendliness for project proponents. The deadline for submitting inputs is 31 March 2009. [The draft tool] [The call for inputs]
