The Forum, which will be open from 20 February-4 May 2012, is an opportunity to provide input to the development of strategic approaches to biosafety capacity-building and capacity-building frameworks, as well as to participate in the review of the Capacity-building Action Plan.
February 2012: The Convention on Biological Diversity’s (CBD) Biosafety Clearing-House (BCH) will open an online forum on strategic approaches to capacity-building for biosafety and on the comprehensive review of the Capacity-building Action Plan under the Protocol. The forum will be open from 20 February-4 May 2012, on the BCH website.
Aiming to improve planning, implementation, coordination and monitoring of biosafety capacity-building initiatives, the forum will provide inputs to the sixth Meeting of the Parties of the Protocol (MOP 6) with regard to strategic approaches for capacity-building and frameworks for capacity assessment and monitoring and evaluation.
