CBD Secretariat Publishes Quarterly Report of Convention

The 53rd issue of the Quarterly Report on the Administration of the Convention contains a summary of key activities in implementing the decisions of the Conference of the Parties (COP), including on: scientific, technical and technological matters, access and benefit-sharing (ABS), social, economic and legal matters, outreach and major groups, and others.

CBD16 September 2011: The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has published the 53rd issue of the Quarterly Report on the Administration of the Convention, covering the period from 1 April-30 June 2011.

The report contains a summary of key activities in implementing the decisions of the Conference of the Parties (COP) and other relevant matters during this period. It includes, among others: references to meetings organized by the CBD Secretariat; progress with regard to activities requested by the COP on the agenda items of its 10th meeting, including scientific, technical and technological matters, access and benefit-sharing (ABS), social, economic and legal matters, outreach and major groups, and implementation and technical support; and progress with regard to implementation of the decisions of the fifth meeting of the COP serving as the Meeting of the Parties (COP/MOP 5) to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety.
