The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has circulated the 56th edition of the Quarterly Report of the Convention, which contains a summary of key activities in implementing the decisions of the Conference of the Parties during the period 1 January - 31 March 2012, as well as meetings organized by the CBD Secretariat and an update on personnel and financial arrangements.
15 January 2013: The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has circulated the 56th edition of the Quarterly Report of the Convention, which contains a summary of key activities in implementing the decisions of the Conference of the Parties and other relevant matters during the period 1 January – 31 March 2012.
The report contains, among others, the meetings organized by the CBD Secretariat and an update on personnel and financial arrangements. It addresses progress in implementation of decisions with regard to: scientific, technical and technological matters; access and benefit-sharing; social, economic and legal matters; outreach and major groups; implementation and technical support; and biosafety.
