CBD Releases Second National Reports on Biosafety, Launches Report Analysis Tool

The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has released the second national reports on the implementation of the Biosafety Protocol, along with a tool that allows users to analyze the reports by country/region or report question/section.

CBD30 November 2011: The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has made available on its website the second national reports on implementation of the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety. It also launched an interactive tool for information search and analysis of the reports.

According to the CBD notification, the Secretariat has received 124 reports to date, which are made available through the “Finding Information” section of the Biosafety Clearing House (BCH). This tool allows for the analysis of the reports by country or geographical region, as well by questions or report sections. [CBD Notification] [National Reports Website]
