The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has published the latest edition of its Magazine on Business and Biodiversity, 'Business 2020,' which focuses on how various Canadian companies are addressing biodiversity issues.

CBDJune 2014: The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has published the latest edition of its Magazine on Business and Biodiversity, titled ‘Business 2020,’ which focuses on how various Canadian companies are addressing biodiversity issues.

In his preface, CBD Executive Secretary, Braulio Ferreira de Souza Dias, highlights the role of the Global Partnership for Business and Biodiversity in the Convention’s implementation and provides a summary of its third meeting held in October 2013 in Montreal, Canada. This meeting inspired the focus of this edition.

Reg Melanson, Executive Director of the Canadian Business and Biodiversity Council, a business-led partnership of business, governments, NGOs and academia, provides an overview of the strategies and actions taken by Canadian business to incorporate biodiversity considerations into business practices.
