CBD Launches Survey on Use of Biosafety Clearing House

The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) is inviting Parties to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety, other governments and relevant organizations to complete a survey on existing capacity and feedback in using the Biosafety Clearing House (BCH).

CBD6 May 2014: The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) is inviting Parties to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety, other governments and relevant organizations to complete a survey on existing capacity and feedback in using the Biosafety Clearing House (BCH).

The survey intends to gather information from BCH users on their ability and experience in using the BCH to share and retrieve information about living modified organisms (LMOs), such as scientific, technical, environmental, legal and capacity building information.

BCH users are asked to submit their feedback by 7 June 2014. The results of the survey will be considered by the seventh Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties (COP-MOP 7) to be held 29 September to 3 October 2014 in Pyeongchang, the Republic of Korea.
